Higher Standards: The Islamic Approach
Brighton International School is an excellent alternative to government and non-government schools. The curriculum is taught in accordance with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority guidelines. The Islamic ethos guides all school activities, ensuring a secure and caring Islamic environment.
Personalised Quranic Studies learning in the Early Years, an intensive Islamic Studies programme, and engaging Arabic language learning. Islamic studies follow a standard curriculum. English/Bengali as the medium of instruction to ensure that the school is appropriate for any youngster.
Brighton International School firmly believes that by educating our children in a balanced way in both government curriculum and Islamic studies, they will grow up to be good Muslims who will thereby automatically become good citizens and part of the solution, not part of the problem.
The Islamic Studies subjects include: Islamic Akhlaq (Manners), Tawheed, Aqeedah, Fiqh (Essentials and Practices), Qur’an reading/recitation and Hifz (memorization), Islamic History, and basic Arabic.
Islamic studies are also integrated with other subjects such as English, Science and Mathematics. Everything we teach in the classroom can be linked to Islam.
The Students, enrolled at Brighton International School do not need extra lessons in religion at an after-school or weekend ‘Madrasah’; the School provides quality Islamic education that sufficiently covers the requirements for their age group during the normal school day.
Hifzul Quran Al-Kareem
Brighton International School provides a unique opportunity for the students to become Hafez/Hafeza of the Quran Kareem. A vastly experienced team of teachers meticulously supervises each individual student to monitor their progress in Hifzul Quran classes. BIS is offering this one-of-a-kind curriculum that offers integrated Islamic teaching, including Hifzul Quran, alongside the National/General Curriculum, Alhamdulillah!
Islamic Schooling: At Brighton International School, Islamic Education provides Muslim children with sufficient knowledge to make them know and realise the purpose of their creation, their responsibility, and the way they should manage worldly matters. The Islamic education curriculum includes:
Aqeedah and Akhlaq, Fiqh (Ibadah & Muamalat-Muasharat), history of Islamic culture, The Holy Qur’an and Hadith, Arabic Language and Memorizing Al-Quran.
Muamalat & Muasharat
“Some people will take with them from here a large stock of virtue earned through deeds like prayer fasting, charity and alms-giving, but their conduct in relation to social and monetary affairs will be poor they will have aggressed against someone’s rights, wounded the feelings of somebody, indulged in back biting and, so on. When they will arrive at the place of Reckoning, on the last day, those against whom they have been guilty of those transgressions will rise up in petition and appeal to Allah SWT for justice. The Almighty Allah will them do justice and deliver his Judgement: their good deeds will be taken away from them and transferred to the aggrieved parties, and when these will not suffice, the sins of the aggrieved parties will be forced down upon them and, ultimately, they will be thrown into the hell.”
Muamalat (Monetary dealings): Muamalat refers to matters that involve financial aspects, such as commercial transactions, indebtedness, agreements, services, labour, and other phrases associated with monetary transactions.
Muasharat (Social conduct): Muasharat refers to the conduct that we accept and display in our interactions with individuals we encounter, whether it is on a permanent basis, such as with family members, relatives, and neighbours, or on a temporary basis, such as with fellow travellers during a journey or colleagues and partners in an office or business setting.
